Το συμβούλιο της Παγκόσμιας Μηχανοκίνητης Ομοσπονδίας Αθλητισμού τιμώρησε με μια απο τις πιο σκληρές ποινές που έχει επιβληθεί στην ιστορία της F1 την McLaren, τιμωρώντας την με μηδενισμό στην βαθμολογία κατασκευαστών και χρηματικό πρόστιμο 100 εκ. δολαρίων(!), ενώ για το υπόλοιπο της σεζόν η Βρετανική ομάδα δεν θα κατακτήσει βαθμό στους κατασκευαστές.Ετσι λοιπόν μετά τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις το πρωτάθλημα κατασκευαστών βρίσκεται στα χέρια της Ferrari δεν συμβαίνει όμως το ίδιο και με το πρωτάθλημα οδηγών…Το μοναδικό ευχάριστο για την Βρετανογερμανική εταιρία είναι πως η τιμωρία δεν επηρεάζει τους δύο πιλότους της, Λιούις Χάμιλτον και Φερνάντο Αλόνσο που διατηρούν τους βαθμούς στο πρωτάθλημα οδηγών.Ο λόγος για την βαριά καμπάνα που ήχησε άσχημα στο Γουόκινγκ και άφησε άφωνους τους φίλους όχι μόνο της McLaren αλλά ολόκληρου του μηχανοκίνητου αθλητισμού είναι η κατασκοπία εις βάρος της Ferrari γνωστή και ως Stepney gate.Αρχικά η Βρετανογερμανική εταιρία είχε αθωωθεί αλλά ύστερα απο αίτημα της σκουντερία, η υπόθεση επανεξετάστηκε σήμερα (13/09) σε δικαστήριο του Παρισίου. Η δίκη ξεκίνησε σήμερα (13/09) στις 09:30 (ώρα Γαλλίας) διήρκησε 9 ώρες, ενώ συμμετείχαν αρκετοί μάρτυρες, τόσο της Ferrari, όσο και της McLaren καθώς επίσης και 26 ένορκοι που έκριναν ένοχη για κατασκοπία την ιστορική Βρετανική εταιρία. McLaren fined and stripped of constructors’ points

McLaren have been excluded from the 2007 constructors’ championship and fined US$100 million following Thursday’s FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris. Drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have not been penalized and are free to continue their fight for the drivers’ title.

The penalty follows McLaren’s admission that the team was in breach of the International Sporting Code through their possession of confidential technical data belonging to rivals Ferrari, who are now all but assured of the 2007 constructors’ title.

Σύμφωνα με το ert.gr τα νέα διπλώματα οδήγησης, τα οποία θα μοιάζουν με πιστωτική κάρτα θα αρχίσουν να εκδίδονται και στην Ελλάδα από το 2008.

Τα νέα διπλώματα θα έχουν ροζ χρώμα στην μπροστινή πλευρά, όπου θα αναγράφονται τα στοιχεία του κατόχου και κίτρινο στην πίσω, όπου θα αναγράφεται ο τύπος, η κατηγορία δηλαδή του διπλώματος.

Επίσης το άρθρο αναφέρει πως: “Οι νέες ενιαίες άδειες οδήγησης για όλες τις χώρες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης θα πρέπει να αρχίσουν να εκδίδονται σε όλα τα κράτη το αργότερο έως το 2013, ενώ η κοινοτική οδηγία ορίζει ότι σε περίοδο 25 ετών θα πρέπει να έχουν αντικατασταθεί όλα τα παλαιά διπλώματα”

Αυτό βέβαια με βάζει σε υποψίες για την παραπάνω δήλωση πως τα νέα διπλώματα θα αρχίσουν να εκδίδονται από το 2008, αν και το Υπουργείο Μεταφορών & Επικοινωνιών τον τελευταίο καιρό έχει κάνει αρκετές αλλαγές, όπως για παράδειγμα η πρόσφατη αλλαγή του K.O.K με τα νέα πρόστιμα.

To παρακάτω κείμενο το έλαβα μέσω email λίγες μέρες πριν. Είναι πραγματικά πολύ ενδιαφέρον αν και από μια σύντομη αναζήτηση βλέπω πως είναι σχετικά παλιό μια και δημοσιεύτηκε στο press-gr τέλη Ιουλίου.. Βέβαια η δημοσιογραφική απάτη έχει πάντα και συνέχεια.. (more…)

Μόλις εχθές το βράδυ επέστρεψα απο τον Πύργο και για να γίνω πιο συγκεκριμένος απο την Βαρβάσαινα η οποία είναι ένα χωριό 5 περίπου χιλιόμετρα απο την πόλη του Πύργου.. Το σίγουρο πάντως είναι πως το τριήμερο αυτό θα μου μείνει αξέχαστο για πολλούς λόγους, βασικός όμως οι πυρκαγιές και η φωτιά που είδα…

Όσο και να τα παρακολουθεί κανείς απο την τηλεόραση σε καμία περίπτωση δεν μπορεί να καταλάβει το μέγεθος της καταστροφής, πόσο μάλλον να αντιληφθεί την όλη κατάσταση που επικρατεί στις περιοχές αυτές τις τελεταίες 4 μέρες…

People trying to visit WordPress.com from Turkey are seeing this message: “Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2.Civil Court of First Instance.” I didn’t realize Turkey had a great firewall like China. This is really unfortunate because we have a really passionate Turkish community that gets about 12 million pageviews a month. Any good tips for people to get around the block?

I never heard that bans like that were happening in Turkey, although I read somewhere that Youtube was banned inTurkey for a few days as well.

For the moment the best tip for them would be the use of a free proxy server although it’s never the best solution.

Let’s hope that this will be something temporary and bloggers from Turkey will be free to use Wordpress.com soon…

A New Zealand couple is looking to call their newborn son Superman — but only because their chosen name of 4Real has been rejected by the government registry.Pat and Sheena Wheaton say they will get around the decision by the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages by officially naming their son Superman but referring to him as 4Real, the New Zealand Herald newspaper has reported.

The Wheatons decided on the name after seeing the baby for the first time in an ultrasound scan and realizing their baby was “for real.” (more…)

Google has joined the fight to save Linux from an army of patent-waving Microsoft lawyers.

With Redmond threatening to collect royalties from Linux users and distributors across the industry, claiming that the open-source operating system violates 235 of its patents, Google has thrown its considerable weight behind the Open Invention Network (OIN), a consortium of companies bent on protecting open-source software from legal attack.

Chinese internet “addicts” will go to camp to be cured. About 2.6 million - or 13 per cent - of China’s 20 million internet users under 18 were classed as addicts. The experimental 10-day program will accept those aged between 14-22 after psychological tests and evaluations.
