Η Cisco μηνύει την Apple για το iPhone

H Cisco η μεγαλύτερη εταιρεία παραγωγής δικτυακού εξοπλισμού παγκοσμίως, υπέβαλλε μήνυση κατά της Apple στο ομοσπονδιακό δικαστήριο του Σαν Φρανσίσκο, ισχυριζόμενη ότι το όνομα «iPhone» ήταν ήδη κατοχυρωμένο από την ίδια για χρήση δικών της προϊόντων.

Σύμφωνα με ιθύνοντες της Cisco, η Apple το γνώριζε αυτό, και μάλιστα το 2000 είχε προσεγγίσει την εταιρεία για την παραχώρηση του ονόματος. Έκτοτε οι δύο εταιρείες βρίσκονταν σε διαπραγματεύσεις για τη λύση του ζητήματος. Ωστόσο, όπως αναφέρει η εταιρεία, οι διαπραγματεύσεις σταμάτησαν απότομα μερικές ώρες προτού ο διευθύνων σύμβουλος της Apple παρουσιάσει το νέο κινητό τηλέφωνο στο κοινό και τους δημοσιογράφους.
